The Huntington Arts Council invites artists to participate in “Vessels.” For this exhibition we are seeking literal, metaphorical, functional, and abstract interpretations exploring its dual nature: as a container of things, and as a conduit for movement. All media accepted
About the Juror: Jessamyn Go is a ceramic artist based in Mastic Beach, New York, creating figurative hand-built forms that explore resilience, connection, and the emotional landscape of the body. She holds a BS in Studio Art from New York University and has exhibited internationally, including the XV Florence Biennale, 1000 Vases in Milan and Paris, and the Every Woman Biennial.
In 2025, she was named an artist in the Andy Warhol Visual Arts Program through The Nature Conservancy. And is a 2026 Artis Fellow for the Long Island Grants for the Arts administered by the hunting arts council. Her work is represented by Kasper Contemporary, Russell Steele, and The Christensen Gallery, with a curated selection of vases at the Parrish Art Museum gift store.
Alongside her studio practice, Go is deeply engaged in arts education and community-based work. She serves as Ceramics Program Coordinator at The Studio at Gallery North and leads the Ecology Art Lab with the Mastic Beach Conservancy. She is currently developing Shaping the Shoreline, an initiative focused on expanding access to clay through free workshops in underserved Long Island communities. Go also contributes to the broader arts ecosystem as a member of the Suffolk County Citizens Advisory Board for the Arts.
Across sculpture, education, and public programming, Go approaches clay as both material and language—an evolving process through which ideas of care, transformation, and shared experience take form.
